One reply on “Brian Niccol, CEO of Taco Bell”

Awesome Podcast, I love Brian Niccol’s example about believing in the employees and not hesitate to share honest feedback with them. Be clear and concise in the feedbacks are very important as well. If you have “super star” employees, you need to make them aware that you believe in them and direct communication with them really help to re-assure that. Do not just give general feedback such as “you doing a great job, keep up the good work”. Super star employees want concrete feedbacks. I also love the idea of surrounding yourself with a lot of great people and empower them to do good work. As a leader, you are there to support your people and help them grow. In the end, their success will be your success as well. Do not be afraid to acknowledge that other people are smarter or better at certain task than you are but learn from them instead. Continues learning is the key to all success!
