Gregg Dedrick is a business executive, strategist and consultant with over 30 years of experience in personal and organizational transformation. Gregg’s tenure and experience as the past President of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Chief People Officer of Yum! Brands – the world’s largest restaurant corporation – has positioned him as a highly effective coach and teacher. Gregg understands that at the heart of every successful organization are the people who believe in it and bring it to life. 

During his tenure as Chief People Officer, Gregg was credited with the development of Yum! Brands’ world-renowned recognition culture in partnership with David Novak. He has traveled around the globe teaching leadership and cultural transformation.  He draws on his relationship with recognized business leaders – from global brand presidents to championship coaches – to tell the hard-learned lessons of leading others the right way.

As President of Kentucky Fried Chicken, Gregg led a critical turnaround by re-building trust with franchisees, developing a talented customer focused team and revitalizing all aspects of the brand – resulting in a 50% profit increase.

As a Board Director, NACD Board Fellow and Business Strategist, Gregg facilitates collaborative work with boards, executives and clients to achieve breakthrough outcomes in strategic business building that propel companies to the next level.  As Denny’s Board Director, Gregg assisted with a new business strategy that revitalized the brand, resulting in a $13.4 million adjusted net income increase.

Gregg has spent his entire career transforming iconic brands, developing results oriented teams and developing strong leaders. Gregg has co-founded David Novak Leadership to share his powerful learnings and experience in people development to leaders everywhere who want to make a bigger difference in their world.

Gregg is a graduate of Cornell University.  He and his wife Shelley have been married for 37 years and have 3 daughters, and 3 grandchildren.  They also founded Iron Bell Ministries and Iron Bell Music in Louisville, KY.
